Abstract Form for Scientific Program or Poster Presentation for 2019 GOS Annual Meeting. There is no fee to apply. Abstract Deadline is April 1st, 2019. Click here for Resident Research Competition Submission.

    The GOS program committee is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2024 GOS Annual Meeting. 

    Deadline to submit materials is May 15th, 2024. 

    You have to be a GOS member, and practicing physician to submit an abstract. Website log-in IS required! For assistance with your password and registration, please contact Sarah Moran at sarah@ngaconsultants.com

    Your abstract will NOT be accepted by the GOS program committee unless you have an updated disclosure.  Please update your disclosure on the AAOS website :  https://disclosure.aaos.org/.

    HOTEL & MEETING REGISTRATION INFORMATION

    GOS has reserved a group block at the Cloister on Sea Island, GA. You will receive a housing link immediately after registering for the meeting.  Our group rate is $414.00 a night plus tax.  

    GOS Annual Meeting registration will begin on April 1st, 2024.

    Thomas E. Whitesides, M.D., Resident Research Competition

    The Georgia Orthopaedic Society is pleased to announce that it is hosting a Residents’ competition of papers at the GOS Annual Meeting, which will be held September 26-29, 2024, at the Cloister on Sea Island, Georgia.

    We will be offering first, second and third place paper awards. All three papers will receive a monetary prize. The prize awards will be as follows: 1st place--$1500; 2nd place--$1000; and 3rd place--$500.

    Important guidelines for paper submission and qualification are listed below:

    • The primary author must be a resident.
    • A resident may only submit one paper. Additional abstract submissions will not be accepted.
    • The resident must be a member of the GOS in order to submit an abstract. There is no cost to join. Click here to access the application: https://georgiaorthosociety.com/Residents-Join-GOS 
    • All three award recipients will be expected to present their papers at the GOS annual meeting.  In the event of an emergency, only a co-author who is of resident or attending status current GOS member can present in their place.
    • Poster submissions are NOT ELIGIBLE for the competition.
    • The deadline for the resident research paper submission is May 15th , 2024
