1. You must be enrolled in as a Resident or Fellow in one of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programs based in the State of Georgia.
2. You must obtain a letter from the Director of the Residency Training Program verifying that you are in good standing.
3. You must complete a resident membership application and send it along with your Director’s letter to: Liz Neary, Executive Director, Georgia Orthopaedic Society, 131 Holly Springs Drive Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.
Your application must be approved by the Board of Directors. Once approved, your resident membership will extend for one year beyond completion of the Residency Program leading up to eligibility for Active Membership provided you remain in the State of Georgia. Your resident membership will also extend for the year that you are involved in Fellowship Training out of state provided you return to Georgia to practice. To apply for Active Membership, you must submit a request to the Board of Directors and include the location of your practice and the names of your partners and/or group, and you must meet the Active Membership Qualifications as outlined in Section 2 of the Society’s Bylaws.
As part of your membership, you may attend the annual meeting and other meetings of the Society, and you may deliver scientific papers at the annual meeting in conjunction with an active member. You are not required to pay an application fee, dues, and assessments. Registration fees for meetings may be waived at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
We welcome your attendance at the annual meeting this October to share in the educational benefits and fellowship of the Society. This year’s meeting will be October 8th – 11th at The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation.

- Eligibility
1.
Resident Membership shall be available to all Orthopaedic Residents and Fellows enrolled in one of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programs based in the State of Georgia.

In addition to the application the Resident/Fellow must obtain a letter from the Director of the Residency Training Program verifying that the applicant is in good standing and send both to: Liz Neary, Executive Director, Georgia Orthopaedic Society, 131 Holly Springs Drive Peachtree City, Georgia 30269.

The Board of Directors must approve membership applications.
